i got the hardware problem fixed. now i have xp stopped at the windows logon page.i get the error, ''DISK READ ERROR
OCCURED''. I HAVE A ASUS A8NVM BOARD,1 GIG RAM,DVD WRITER,FLOPPY, AND 250GB WDC SATA DRIVE.
DOES THIS ERROR REFER TO THE HARD DRIVE? IT WAS RECENTLY REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY.
ANY SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED.

It could unless you've left a non-system floppy disk in the drive.
You might also try to remember not to post in all caps as it is considered "yelling". Most of us can hear fine in here.
