That download speed looks awfully slow for such a fast upload speed. Would you mind running it again and get the link to post as well? Usually there is a much greater difference between upload and download.

Just tested the speed in the classroom again as Verizon said the high speed connection was ready but it still looks like DSL to me ...

I was informed earlier today that the DSL connection speed for the classroom had been more than tripled. Let's find out.



Hmm, doesn't look like it to me. Either the speed coming into the building was never changed or there is a bottleneck somewhere between the building connection and the classroom.

I thought maybe there was a problem with the switch, so I brought in my notebook computer running at 1.66 GHz with 1GB RAM. I hooked it up directly to the DSL modem in the classroom and the following is the result:



If the DSL line coming into the building has been ramped up to 3Mb/s it sure dosen't make it all the way up to the second floor.
