I was actually thinking of cmptch or Spock, but please if you feel as mod you want to learn something go ahead:

This is a website I have referred earlier too, but didn't mention.
Couple of reasons for that:

1 the site ain't mine but of a good friend of mine
2 the language is more physical then you all are used too, don't worry it's not that wrong:)
3 the info there is accurate but way to ehhhhh deep into the core of the machine, (might be a better way to explain, sorry doing my coffee) for the average student to browse around for now.

We don't want to have peeps going; " Well I read on this website how to flash my BIOS and now...jada jada..."

Angrygames is a admin there and he is more wrong then I am Spock but a good dude.

You all are ofc welcome there, but as I said I don't think its a good idea to jank the masses from here over there....before checking it out by you I meant.

DFI-Street is a website i was invited too and it is mostly about hardware which they make, something like that, but the general knowledge which is what I was looking for is a gem over there.

So if you guys are willing:

Thanks krank. I saw this right after you posted it but for some reason didn't reply at the time. It looked interesting when I visited the first time but I haven't had much time to do anything.

Have you been visiting regularly? Do they seem like "our" kind of people? If you think they are a good site for my Pre-Tech students, I will add them to our Links\Resources page.

Well as i said, the language is different but the knowledge is hudge
there, agauin andthere is where you come in, spock, its a site from and for overclockers hence the extended knowledge, is it smart to have the students going there already?

its like stating; omg your windows doesnt work anymore?
do a full reinstall from the bootfile...here is how you go about that....

i think that you know if they are ready for that i dont:)

and not to forget dfi is a brand of its own...lots of peeps dont have that stuff in their system i think:)

if cmptp is willing he might be able to check that out for ya Spock:)

but he has to promise not to live there ....he has to come back;) j/k hun

I've actually been slowly checking it out since you've posted it. It is a DFI support forum, and therefore is a wealth of hardware related issues.

There is a lot of good information there for everyone. From the most basic power supply support to advanced video card (board level) modifications.

I personally haven't navigated away from that site with additional knowlege, but it is a good refresher for me.

Krank, Appreciate the link to dfi-street. Has any body come across a really informative link to a group that enjoys building gaming computers?
