Stuff happens in the best of situations.

I've used Paypal (as purcheser and vendor) for years with no problems.

AND when one gets to the bottom of the page linked above, one finds:

"We highly suggest getting a Real Merchant Account to avoid becoming another PayPal horror story. Click Here For Our PayPal Alternative"

Perhaps they have their own motives for nay-saying Paypal?!?

p.s. I am in no way associated with Paypal other than in being a satisfied customer

I have used PayPal myself with no problems but I've only used it as a customer, not a client. From internic, I get the following:

Just because the information looks different, doesn't mean that the same organization isn't behind it, it just means that, if they are, they were sneaky about it.

Personally, to me it doesn't matter as I've heard similar stories myself.

I know somebody who had/has a PayPal account, they had about £40 in the account and hadn't used it for a few months.

When they went to pay for an item they discovered their account wouldn't let them log in, assuming they had forgotten the password they followed the 'reset password' instructions, when getting into their account they found it was empty, as though it was a totally new account.

This in my view is quite terrible that people can lose their money in this way, I certainly won't be using or recommending PayPal in the near future.

Do you know this person first hand or by reference?

Hey! Thanks for this info as well. (I have a family member that uses it as a customer and client haven't heard any thing negative yet) but will be considering other alternatives when ready.
