So far, I have not been able to figure out, and therefore appreciate, the game of American football. I read a quote describing it basically as a bunch of guys who "run a few yards, pile up, fall down, run a few yards, pile up, fall down....." This about sums it up for me!

For some reason, however, I am happy that New England won.

Sounds like an accurate definition to me.

Wonder what a comparable definition of Rugby would be?

OK - "Rugby is a hooligan's game played by gentlemen, soccer is a gentlemen's game played by hooligans"

Whoever said that, it wasn't Confucious!

That is a pretty funny description actually.
I know some people who play Rugby. Some are gentlemen, some aren't.
Ah well.
