Here is a link to the Microsoft Media Player FAQ's page, I'm not sure how much help it is. Are you having problems installing it, or running it?

Some extra info on what that program really does:

Media player is actually a tool intregraded within windows to play sound or videofiles.
Often when a file cant be played by this program, two things areat fauth here, assuming the program has no problem playing other files.

1 the needed codec is not installed.
2 the file is corrupt.

So in order to help you out, we need more information.

Like what is the error you are getting?
What is the extention of the file you are trying to play?
Wich windows are you using?<--- Xp has more installed codecs then windows 98.

Maby this helps:)

So you don't get the idea that Kelvin is ignoring you, he is one of my Tech Students. I don't think he has Internet access at home, so will probably answer eventually but it may not be until class Tuesday.

I try to teach my students that it is only polite to come back and let everyone who tried to help know what the solution was, even if solved elsewhere.

Good. Some people just stop replying to their thread, and you're left wondering, "Is it fixed?" and can be a nuisance.
